D-Antidote’s Latest Collection Was Unexpected, To Say the Least.
D-Antidote ditched their ‘SEOULONDON’ motto this year for a new digital-inspired look
The brand’s motto ‘SEOULONDON’ was always at the heart of D-Antidote’s design, but not this year’s Spring/ Summer 2021 collection.
For a Korean kid that just adjusted to going to the same university as him, looking at his designs seemed personal. However, when he said that this year’s collection was about “the era of digitalization during the pandemic.” I was caught off guard.
I proceeded to ask him via chat why he suddenly changed his mind. He explained it was because he wanted to talk about “something that is globally impacting the world,” and he explained it would be inappropriate to talk just about Seoul and London.
I Sighed in relief, as he said that he wouldn’t disregard his motto ever. He further consoled me by explaining that he had started using sustainable textiles in is collection and it was something to look forward to.
